Then, get ready for the day’s most exhilarating moment at Tham Ma Pass, the legendary mountain road that climbs for 10 kilometers between Yen Minh and Dong Van. 

Arrive in Dong Van district by evening, you will have free time to explore the town and relax.

Start the day with a light trek to check-in at Lung Cu Flag Tower, proudly standing at the northernmost point of Vietnam. Continue the journey to nearby Lo Lo Chai Village, home to the Lo Lo ethnic group, immerse in authentic highland culture and enjoy breathtaking scenery framed by rustic houses and terraced fields.

The adventure intensifies in the afternoon with a drive through the majestic Ma Pi Leng Pass, the King of Vietnam’s “Four Great Mountain Passes”. From the summit, enjoy a dramatic vantage point over the rugged landscape and the emerald waters below. Following is an optional boat trip on Nho Que River, gliding between towering cliffs into Tu San Gorge, known as the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.

After a day of exploration, evening is for free time and resting.

Overnight in Dong Van.

Begin the final day with a visit to the vibrant Meo Vac Market, where ethnic minority communities such as the Hmong, Tay and Dao gather for trading, socializing and celebrating their traditions. Then, make a short stop at KM0 Meo Vac, the symbolic starting point of the legendary Happiness Road or Ma Pi Leng Pass.

On the return journey, revisit the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass before swinging by Yen Minh Pine Forest, often referred to as the “miniature Da Lat of the North” then arriving back in the Ha Giang city center.
