After breakfast, you will depart from Hoi An and drive to Hue, which is approximately a 3.5-hour journey. Once you arrive in Hue, you’ll begin your exploration of the Imperial City (The Citadel), a UNESCO World Heritage site that once served as the heart of the Nguyen Dynasty. Within the Citadel, you’ll visit the Forbidden Purple City, a royal complex that showcases the grandeur of Vietnam’s imperial history.
Next, visit the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda, located along the scenic Perfume River. This ancient pagoda is one of the most iconic landmarks in Hue, offering a tranquil atmosphere and picturesque views.
For dinner, indulge in a traditional Hue meal at a local restaurant, sampling royal dishes such as Bánh Khoái (Hue-style pancakes) and Bánh Beo (steamed rice cakes).
After dinner, you have free time to take a boat ride on the Perfume River, offering stunning views of the city at dusk, or you can choose to explore Dong Ba Market, where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs (at your own expense).
