Ha Giang

Ha Giang has many mountains, natural landmarks with the diverse primary forest. Dong Van Plateau spreading over the four districts of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac.

Ha Giang is quite a new city with only 120 years of history. Going through a lot of difficulties in term of unfavorable location and low level of infrastructure, Ha Giang is transforming from an economically undeveloped province into a tourism locale that attracts a lot of visitors in the last few years.

Like any other Northern highlands of Vietnam, the climate there is cool in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. The temperature ranges from 5 – 28oC, which is pretty ideal for tourism.

Like Sapa, the most renowned attraction of Ha Giang are the many grandiose mountains. Although mountains here are not high as those in Sapa and seem not to be steep enough to challenge adventurous climbers, they stand out for extensive area of limestone with unique formation of peaky rocks. The most famous rocky area of Ha Giang is Dong Van Plateau. Lung Cu hamlet lying inside Dong Van Rock Plateau is another indispensable destination as it marks the very northern tip of Vietnam by Lung Cu Flag Tower on Dragon Mountain.

Not only that, Ha Giang is a venue of fanciful natural caves such as Phuong Thien Cave, Fairy Cave and Swallow cave. Although all the caves offer wonderful scenery with fantastic shapes of stalactites, each one has its own story and traits.

Ha Giang is also well known for its magnificent forests in which there are more than 1000 species of good woods, drug trees as well as rare animals like tigers, peacock.

A unique spot be seen in Ha Giang is “Khau Vai Love Market”. This market is held monthly on the 26th and 27th of a Lunar Year. Besides, Ha Giang has many major festivals such as the newly-built house ceremony of the Lo Lo or Spring festival of H’mong and Dao ethnic group.

Dong Van Upland

Dong Van is an upland district of Ha Giang, it is far about 146 kilometers from Ha Giang. Dong Van has Lung Cu, that is concerned as the roof of Vietnam, famous for natural scenery, fruits and precious herbs, etc. Dong Van is the northernmost district of Ha Giang province. It is located in the ruggered rock upland of our nation. Visitors can have chance to admire the beautiful scenery and know more about daily life of Dong Van People.

Lung Cu

About 200 kilometers from Ha Giang town, when coming to Lung Cu, visitors can have opportunity to enjoy fresh air and learn more about cultural traditional of a unique ethnic. From a distance, Lung Cu is very beautiful. Besides, ethnic people in Lung Cu mainly cultivate. The H’mong and Lo Lo still preserve the traditional weaving.

Mansion of Vuong family

Located in Xa Phin district, this is a beautiful and unique architecture of upland. The mansion has three stilted houses. The main house faces the gate, two houses parallel and perpendicular to the main house. All stilted houses were made of wood. The wall is built around with military guards to ensure the security of the whole building. This mansion is concerned as a green gem in the heart of Dong Van upland. Therefore, visitors should not miss this destination when coming to Ha Giang.

Quan Ba Twin Mountain

Twin mountain is located along Highway 4C, it is far about 40 km from Ha Giang town. From a distance, Quan Ba Twin Mountain looks like two cherries as an art of nature.
