Arrival in bustling Ho Chi Minh City! Upon landing, you’ll be warmly greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace—relax, explore nearby cafes, or simply soak in the city’s lively energy. Meals are not included today, so feel free to discover Saigon’s street food or dine at one of the many restaurants nearby.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before starting a full day of discovery in Ho Chi Minh City. Between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, your guide will pick you up for a morning tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Begin with the Independence Palace (also known as the Reunification Palace), a historic symbol of the end of the Vietnam War, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace.

Continue on to admire the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, both beautiful examples of French colonial architecture and beloved city landmarks. The morning concludes with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, offering a powerful insight into the country’s wartime history through extensive exhibits from the Indochina wars.

After lunch at a local restaurant, depart the city for a drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels (about 1.5 hours away). Upon arrival, you’ll watch a brief introductory video explaining how the tunnels were built and used during the war. Then, begin exploring the vast underground system, including living quarters, kitchens, storage areas, hospitals, and command centres. Discover hidden trapdoors and cleverly designed wartime traps used for defence.

End the visit with a taste of cassava and tea, the traditional food of guerrilla fighters. There’s also time for those who wish to experience the shooting range (optional, at your own expense). Afterwards, return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide and driver will pick you up between 07:30 – 07:45 AM for a full-day excursion to the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive along National Highway 1, passing endless stretches of green rice fields, as you head toward the charming rural district of Trung Luong in My Tho.

Your first stop is the peaceful Vinh Trang Pagoda, an elegant blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian architecture. Afterward, board a boat to cruise along the Tien River, where you’ll pass by floating fish farms and see the four iconic islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise.

Disembark and take a pleasant walk along a village path. Visit an orchard garden, enjoy seasonal fruits and honey tea, and relax to the sounds of Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local artists. Then, hop on a hand-rowed sampan and glide gently through the Tan Thach canal, surrounded by dense water coconut trees.

Continue your journey with a visit to a coconut candy workshop, where you can see how this local treat is made. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant before boarding the boat back to the dock. Rejoin your bus for the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City, filled with memories of the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Mekong.
